刘世锦指出，即便没有贸易战的影响，目前中国经济也已经从高速转向中速，经济增速降低是正常的。货币政策要在经济下行压力大的时候有适当的反应，但也不能够过松，使得去杠杆半途而废。刘世锦在对话中指出，金融开放不是为开放而开放，还是要解决中国金融体系中存在的一些突出问题。目前中国金融体系有些领域效率不高，在市场准入、效率提升方面还存在一些问题。以及中小企业融资难、融资贵问题突出，能否通过对外开放引入新的金融业态、金融工具和金融产品？

最后，也就是最低的预期，就是美的集团与小天鹅结束这种母子公司的控制模式，在业务和资产上正式合为一体，解决二者之间的关联交易行为，将双方的资源整合在一起。今年资本市场环境每况愈下，尤其是蓝筹白马辉煌不再，美的集团接连回购公司股份也没有能够阻止股价的下跌，小天鹅经营业绩稳定，但已经缺乏增长的想象空间了。一场不错的资本运作，既提振股价解决当下的市场萎靡问题，又实现长期发展的大一统，算是一举两得了。
